OTHER COMMENTS/INFO:

  • First released in Year 2 (1983-1984), as one of the first MLP Play Sets, a bit after Peachy's Pretty Parlor

    • It included Lemon Drop (her second release) and Brandy the Dog (dog person version of Twinkles)

  • The original play set included:

    • A pink bridle and saddle for Lemon Drop to wear

    • A weather vane, fence, horse troughs, medals, window boxes, and flags to attach to the stable (the flags also attach to Lemon Drop's saddle)

    • Instructions on how to attach the accessories to the stable + dress up Lemon Drop

    • A yellow brush and purple comb

    • Three trophies and two different horse show jumps

    • A bed and felt blanket

    • (Original standard USA release Show Stable accessory list w/ photos on MLW)

  • A re-colored version was then released as "Megan's Place" in 1985 and 1986

    • Megan and Sundance appear on the box, but do not actually come with the play set. Brandy the dog still is included, but not Lemon Drop.

    • Megan's Place included the same accessories, but recolored (MLW list)

    • They made Brandy the Dog white (and renamed him Snowball)

  • Another re-colored version was released, this time as "Home Sweet Home" in 1989

    • In the UK it was still sold under the name "Show Stable"

    • No ponies are included in-box, although Lemon Drop is featured on the box. Brandy is still included. Brandy has become yellow

    • Once again, same accessories but differently colored

  • In 1990, a Second Edition of the Show Stable was released in Europe, which could technically be regarded as the European equivalent to Home Sweet Home

    • Europe Second Edition accessories list on MLW

    • There were versions of the Second Edition Show Stable released in English, German, Dutch, Italian, and Spanish

    • While the building colors were the same as the original release, the accessories were colored like the Home Sweet Home Accessories - with the exception of Brandy, who got to be brown again

  • In 1984, a Europe Exclusive set called "Gymkhana" was sold, which included Butterscotch along with several of the Show Stable Accessories

    • This set appears to have been sold through 1985 and 1986

    • Similarly, Rosette the Prize Day Pony was a Europe exclusive pony in 1990 who came in a set which included re-packaged accessories from the Show Stable

  • Had a retractable handle so you could carry it

  • The roof can be lifted up for easier access to the insides of the building
