INFO:

  • Paint-your-own figures - The boxes include a mold, which can be used to create a pony by filling it with plaster.

  • There are also G1 paint-your-own ponies from Brazil, with different molds, called Pinta Tina ponies

French

  • Production Company: Mako

  • Release Date: ?

  • Characters: It seems you can make any character you want! But there are two box appearances, with one featuring Windy, Bow Tie, and Cotton Candy, and the other additionally includes Sunshine and Skydancer

  • There's two box sets I've found - One includes 5 molds, and one includes three.

  • Titled Mako Moulages - a phrase used specifically for this type of toy/craft project

    • Mako Moulages are still a thing. This box set is from France, which seems to be where Mako Moulages come from, but even lower down you will see that there is also a German version, which does not use the term 'Mako Moulages' and appears to be produced by a different company despite using the same molds

German

  • Production Company: Remus

  • Release Date: ?

  • Characters: Once again, you can make any character you want - But the box for these features Masquerade along with the Euro exclusive ponies Snowflake and Hopscotch. There is a fourth pony in the background who is hard to ID, but might be Starshine.

  • Has a different production company listed, but uses the same molds as the other one

  • Smaller box, only contains two molds

  • Included a small pack of plaster, just enough to make two figurines

German - Brooch Set

There is also a similar set sold in Germany by Remus, which has a different set of molds, meant to make flat brooches. I assume there is also a French equivalent to this set, I just haven't seen any pictures of it.

  • Production Company: Remus

  • Release Date: ?

  • Characters: These molds include non-pony characters Twinkles and Spike the dragon, along with four pony molds. It is sort of unclear which ponies they are trying to be on the cover, although I'd say that there's ones resembling Truly, Shady, and maybe Firefly.

I try to ask permission on social media or forums that I'm active on, especially if I'm using a lot of photos from one person. If you own one of the photos on this site and do not want it here, message me and I will remove it.
