G1 Retro (for the purposes of this site) refers to G1 Specials from after the original G1 line ended. These can be direct re-creations of existing G1 items, or they can be any other MLP merch from post G1 that markets itself as being G1-based - Typically by mimicking the G1 style or bringing back G1 exclusive characters or designs that didn't appear in other merch from whatever time said toy was released.
