- She was part of the second wave of Unicorns, which along with Sparkler also consisted of Gusty, Skyflier, Sparkler, and re-releases of Glory & Moondancer

First pony to use her particular pose, so it is named after her - i.e. usually referred to as the "Powder Pose" by fans. It is a pretty uncommon pose, with not a lot of ponies using it
Powder was not released in many European countries, such as the UK - Her "equivalent" of sorts in many places was the Euro (and South African) exclusive pony, Snowflake

Her US Backcard reads: Snow was gently falling from the clouds and Powder was in a mischief-making mood. "I've played a clever trick on Majesty!" Powder thought to herself. "Let's go play in the Dream Castle," she called to Majesty as they raced toward the castle far in the distance. When they got closer, Majesty exclaimed, "My Castle is covered with white fluffy snow!" Powder giggled. "That's not the Dream Castle," Powder explained. "It's an ice castle I made from the snow!" Majesty laughed at Powder's surprise!
