From Best Friend Baby Ponies, a Euro Exclusive set of baby ponies, each themed on an animal, with a teeny animal friend included. There were three ponies in the series.
- The Best Friend Baby Ponies are confirmed to have been sold in the UK, Germany, France, and Spain
This set came out in Year 11 - That is, after G1 MLP stopped being sold in the US
The Best Friend ponies are based on a cat, bunny, and dog respectively
- This corresponds with the animals chosen for the spinoffs - My Little Kitty, My Little Bunny, and My Little Puppy.
- Their animal friends are also made in a similar style to the baby animals sold in said spinoff lines
Katie's Cat Friend is named "Kitty" - the box is titled "Baby Katie and Kitty"
In the promotional insert slip of the ponies + other ads of them, Baby Katie is depicted in a different pose, with her head tilted up. The alternate posed version is probably her prototype design.
The Dutch Pony Poesjes-Pony or "Cat Pony" appears to be a re-colored version of Katie - perhaps a Dutch specific variant of her.

UK Backcard: All of the Best Friends were playing hide and seek in the Garden. “Who’s going to hide and who’s going to seek?” asked Baby Susie. “We’ll hide; you and Spot must close your eyes and count to 10” the others said, and they all rushed off to hide. Katie and Kitty hid behind a big leafy bush. They sniggered together: “They’ll never find us here!” Billie and Bunny hid behind a flower pot filled with brightly coloured flowers. “8-9-10, I’m coming to find you!” said Susie. They found Katie and Kitty very easily because Kitty had left her tail hanging from behind a branch. Billie and Bunny weren’t so easy to find. Just as Susy and Spot were about to give up, they saw Billie jump up and run around the garden, chased by an angry bee. What a funny end to the game!

Dutch Backcard: De Beste Vriendjes spleen met z’n allen verstoppertje in de tuin. “Wie is ‘m?” vraagt Baby Susie. “Wij verstoppen ons, jij doet je ogen dicht en telt samen met Spot tot tien zeggen de anderen en hollen hard weg om zich te verstoppen. Katie en Kitty verstoppen zich in een grote boom. Ze fluisteren tegen elkaar: “hier vinden ze ons nooit!” Billy en Bunny verstoppen zich achter een grote bloempot met kleurige bloemen. “8-9-10. Wie niet weg is, is gezien!” roept Susie. Ze vinden Katie en Kitty heel makkelijk omdat de staart van Kitty over een tak heen hing! Billy en Bunny zijn moeilijker te vinden. Net als Sisy en Spot willen opgeven, zien ze Billie opspringen en dwars door de tuin tennen, achtervolgd door een boze wesp! Zo eindigt het verstoppertje-spel wel heel grappig!

German Backcard: Alle Baby-Ponys und Minifreund spielten im Garten Verstecken. “Wer versteckt sich und wer soll suchen?” fragte Baby Susi. “Wir verstecken uns. Spot und Du, Ihr müßt eure Augen schließen und bis 10 zählen”. Sagten die anderen und liefen davon, um sich zu verstecken. Baby Katie und Kitty versteckten sich in einem großen Baum mit vielen Blättern. “Hier warden sie uns nie finden”, kicherten die beiden. Baby Betty und Bunny versteckten sich hunter einem großen Blumentopf mit vielen bunten Blumen darin.. “8-9-10, ich komme!” rief Baby Suzi. Sie farden Baby Katie und Kitty ganz schnell da man Kittys Schwanz durch die Blätter erkennen konnte. Baby Betty und Bunny dagegen waren nicht so leicht zu finden. Baby Susi und Spot wollten gerade aufgeben. Als Baby Betty aufsprang und aufgeregt durch den Garten rannte, verfolgt von einer wildn Biene. Wir hatten viel Spaß bei disem lustigen Spiel!
