  • Putting all these guys in one post, because I don't want to have to awkwardly name each post...

  • All the folders are made in 1986 by Beatrice/Hunt Wesson, with the same sort of cut-from-the-TV-Show art style. They were probably sold alongside each other in stores, possibly even in a set together

  • Double pocket school folders

  • These are some of the only merch that features Wind Whistler and Fizzy, despite the two of them being frequently featured in G1 animated media (and ending as up fan favorites to this day)

Folder 1

  • The front of this folder features Shady, Gusty, Fizzy, Ribbon, Gingerbread, Megan, Surf Rider and Ripple

  • The back features Paradise, Lofty, Wind Whistler, Lickety Split, Sundance, Sweet Stuff, Magic Star, Buttons, and Water Lily

  • It appears to be a larger picture, just cut in half with one half on each side

  • Green trim

Folder 2

  • This folder has the same picture on both sides

    • The one on the front includes the My Little Pony logo while the one on the back doesn't

    • The one on the back is zoomed out slightly

  • It features Ribbon, Sweet Stuff, Sundance, Lickety Split, Baby Lickety Split, Shady, Cupcake, Spike, and Danny Williams (the human boy)

    • The uncropped version on the back reveals that Lofty and Baby Surprise are also in the picture

  • Dark blue trim

Folder 3

  • The front features Wind Whistler, Heart Throb, Shady, Sundance, Cherries Jubilee, Paradise, Posey, Fizzy, and Moochick (the weird gnome)

  • The back features the same image, just moved slightly to the left to reveal more ponies

  • The back crops out Moochick, and reveals North Star, Ribbon, Lofty, Lickety Split, Baby Gusty, and I think Ribbon again but small and in the corner and half cropped out.

    • The Ribbon sitting next to baby Gusty is using a pose that is frequently repurposed in G1 merch, whereas the other's seem to have poses taken from the TV Show

  • Light Blue Trim

Folder 4

  • The front features Gusty, Baby Gusty, Peach Blossom, Rosedust, and Morning Glory

  • The back features Lofty, Whizzer, Masquerade, Galaxy, Honeysuckle, Forget-Me-Not, Molly Williams, and a mostly-cropped-out Peach Blossom

  • The back is other half of the first image, as you can tell by Peach Blossoms face peaking from the corner

  • Orange Trim
