  • People tend to usually sell the stroller with Bow Tie and Baby Bow Tie included

  • It is harder to find the Stroller than it is to find Baby Bow Tie herself. This may be because of the individual release of Baby Bow Tie in Spain (and perhaps other countries - but there is no documentation of this), although she never got an individual release in the UK. It may also be because the Stroller is known to be easily broken -- or it is a combination of these factors.

OTHER INFO/COMMENTS:

Release Info

  • The Baby Pony Stroller was a Euro exclusive Play Set, seemingly an equivalent of sorts to the Baby Buggy.

    • The Baby Buggy did release in Europe, but in most countries it was not until 1986, while the original Baby Buggy set came out in the USA in 1984.

    • The first edition of the Baby Pony Stroller appears to have come out the same year as the Baby Buggy's first release, in 1984 (Year 3).

  • The set is mostly associated with the UK, and sometimes said to only be sold in the UK, but the 2nd edition set was for sure sold in other countries as well.

    • It does appear that the 1st edition set was probably not sold in Spain, as Baby Bow Tie was sold separately there.

    • Note: Baby Bow Tie is Euro exclusive, with no USA release.

  • The Baby Pony Stroller set was sold at the same time as the Baby Pony Play and Care Sets, which were the Euro equivalent to the standard Baby Pony sets sold in the USA.

    • The Baby Pony Stroller was sometimes marketed as if it was part of the Play and Care sets, and often considered by Collectors to be part of it.

General Info

  • The set included Baby Bow Tie, the Baby Pony Stroller itself, and a cloth rainbow harness so that the Stroller could be pulled by a grown-up pony. This harness opened and closed with velcro.

  • For a period of time Snuzzle was offered at the store Argos with the stroller (as well as Baby Bow Tie). This was probably just because there was surplus stock of her.

    • This is similar to the slightly more well-known situation where she was sold with the UK "Grooming Parlor" for a period of time.

  • The stroller has a hinged door on the back for Baby Bow Tie to go in and out.

  • The Baby Pony Stroller included 2 Horseshoe Points redeemable with purchase for the UK Mail Order program

  • The set is known to be particularly fragile, with the canopy and wheels said to break off easily.

The Backcard Story writes: Baby Bow-Tie is a very friendly little pony and loves to ride in the stroller so that she can visit all her friends. All the baby ponies take it in turns to open the back of the carriage and step in, and Baby Bow-Tie makes sure that it shuts securely so that they can ride safely round the field and wave to everyone they see.
