  • (Their copyright is mentioned in the bottom text on the first page, which makes me assume they are all main characters (Applejack, Firefly, and Moondancer at least are), but other ponies appear, including Bubbles, Seashell, and Bow Tie. It may also be that they just copyrighted the ponies that appeared at all by name.)

  • One of the MLP Read Along books - Kid's storybooks that came with records/tapes that read the book out loud

    • There are a variety of G1 Read Along Books, this one was a "Listen 'n Look Book", which were the ones produced directly by Hasbro.

    • There were less of these than the other types - Those being the ones made by Kid Stuff and the ones made by Mini-World

  • Story by John Braden, art is just credited to Ed Rowe Studio

  • The image used for the cover of the book is also used for a lunch box released in 1983

    • It is also featured in this MLPTP post that shows some MLP G1 production art

  • This cover art is also used for a MLP book titled "The Stolen Shadow" which is not a Read Along Book
