CHARACTER(S): Twilight

YEAR OF PRODUCTION: All dated figures so far are from 1983

PLACE OF PRODUCTION: Hong Kong

MANUFACTURING COMPANY: Adam Joseph Industries Inc

  • As far as I've seen, all the NIB pictures of these figures (not just of Twilight, but of other ponies in the same style) credit Adam Joseph Industries, so unless shown otherwise, I'm assuming they made all the figures that were produced in this style

TYPICAL PRICE ONLINE: ?

OTHER COMMENTS/INFO:

  • The figurine pins/brooches (especially Twilight's, for some reason) were re-purposed into multiple different items. Since they are basically all the same thing, I'm giving them one post! With the exception of the Twilight Figurine Eraser, who uses the essentially the same design, but made from a different material

  • The pink appears to be her plastic's color, with the other colors painted on

Pin/Brooch

  • I can only assume this one is the default, original version, but this is based on it seeming like the most normal application of this design, with the others more likely to be afterthought? No real evidence. They could have planned to repurpose the design into multiple things from the beginning! Still, this seems like her default form to me

  • She is flat on one side, which makes sense for a pin

  • Her pin clip is metal

  • She was sold with the Wrist Stable. Unsure if she was also sold individually, but I kind of suspect that she was, because making the Wrist Stable figures pins was sorta strange, and felt like them repurposing old stock....

    • In support of this, the Wrist Stable is copyrighted 1984, while the pins that come with it are copyrighted 1983

Magnet

  • Dated 1983

  • She is cut in half - flat on one side. I assume this is why there are two of her!!

  • These guys have those little flat, round black magnetic circles on the back, like most 3D-shaped magnets

Pendant

  • Dated 1983

  • Unlike most of these guys, she isn't flat on one side - her two sides are put together!

  • She actually seems to be the easiest of the bunch to find photos of, which is interesting because she seems the most like an afterthought - They just stuck the two magnets together!

  • She is about 1.5 inches tall & 2.25 inches long

Pendant (Mini)

  • Some major new lore unveiled itself while I was on the search for pendant pictures - There's two variations! One is smaller, with less detail!

  • The clearest difference besides size is that her legs don't have a space between them

  • She is only 1 inch tall!

  • She probably came from a charm bracelet set, because one of the pictures I found of her has her attached to a pink comb. There was a Blossom charm bracelet which has a similar look to it - With the same comb, and basically the same pony! She even has the plastic between her legs!

Barrettes (Hair Clips)

  • Once again she is sold in twos!

  • There is a similar set with Medley, which is better documented

Hair Bands

  • Hair bands instead of clips! Presumably also sold in twos

This website is purely for educational/archival purposes. I do not own the rights to My Little Pony, and most photos on this site are not my own. I provide image sources if the source is still available online, but there are far too many photos for me to ask each person for permission - The whole point of the site is collecting as many photos as possible. I try to ask permission on social media or forums that I'm active on, especially if I'm using a lot of photos from one person. If you own one of the photos on this site and do not want it here, message me and I will remove it. This isn't meant to take credit from or upset anyone; It is just for fun and to help record the existence of these toys. If you are made uncomfortable by me using your photos, I will remove them for you.
