OTHER COMMENTS/INFO:

  • First released in Year 1 (1982-early 1983) - One of the original 6 brushables ever released under the MLP name. She came with a purple comb and purple ribbon

    • Early Year 1 releases are flat-footed, while later ones are concave, and all future releases are concave

  • Released again in Year 2 (1983-early 1984)

    • In Year 2 she was sold in stores, and in Year 3 (1984- early 1985) she was sold as a mail order pony.

  • All three versions came with a pink ribbon and pink comb

  • In 1984, in Europe only, she was sold in a set called "Gymkhana", which re-used accessories from the Show Stable

    • Gymkhana Butterscotch often had a lighter-colored cutie mark

  • The Mail Order version of her has a paler-toned body more golden-toned hair

  • Had a full re-release for MLP's 35th anniversary

  • Butterscotch has a G3 iteration

  • As a young teen I pretended my Butterscotch figure was a boy to make me feel better about being a guy who likes My Little Ponies

  • For some reason people use the name Butterscotch for "gender bent" G4 Fluttershy, which unfortunately may be the reason I associated butterscotch with masculinity.

    • If you look up MLP Butterscotch online and see a yellow and pink G4 stallion that is a LIE. He's not real.

This website is purely for educational/archival purposes. I do not own the rights to My Little Pony, and most photos on this site are not my own. I provide image sources if the source is still available online, but there are far too many photos for me to ask each person for permission (and some are from users who are inactive or not possible to contact -- i.e., from sites like Worthpoint) - The whole point of the site is collecting as many photos as possible. I try to ask permission on social media or forums that I'm active on, especially if I'm using a lot of photos from one person. If you own one of the photos on this site and do not want it here, message me and I will remove it. This isn't meant to take credit from or upset anyone; It is just for fun and to help record the existence of these toys. If you are made uncomfortable by me using your photos, I will remove them for you.
