OTHER COMMENTS/INFO:

  • Butterscotch had multiple releases, but looks functionally the same in all of them, with only differences being in packages and accessories. In order, her releases are:

    • 2003 - Europe Exclusive line Seasons Celebration Ponies - She came with a charm and orange brush

    • 2003 - Walmart Exclusive Promo packs - Paired with another pony - Sparkleworks or Minty, depending on the pack - Earlier versions had a misplaced hoof heart - on the inisde instead of the outside of her hoof

    • 2004 - Berry Pickin' Fun - Berry themed dress up set - She comes with a hair brush, picnic basket, two berry baskets, a hat, and a shawl

Her colors in this one are slightly different than in her other 2 releases, but only small differences in shades - Her fur is a little darker, her cutie mark is less saturated, her eyes are more green

    • 2005 - An Easter Egg themed pack - She comes with hair brush, watering can, potted plants, bunny ear headband, and little shoes - She has darker fur, and more orange toned eyes (First 2 releases were brown toned)

    • 2005 - Came with the CVS Exclusive Super Sundaes Ice Cream Parlor play set, along with Lickety Split and Cupcake

    • 2006 - Kohls Exclusive re-release of the Super Sundaes Ice Cream Parlor play set

  • For identification of the small differences between the different Butterscotch releases, look at this page on Strawberry Reef!

  • She has a magnet under her hoof and tinsel in her hair

  • As a young teen, I decided my G1 Butterscotch was a guy, so I'd feel better about liking My Little Pony, as a guy. In honor of this, I think Butterscotch is a bigender he / they / she - Perhaps a drag queen?

Comments

This website is purely for educational/archival purposes. I do not own the rights to My Little Pony, and most photos on this site are not my own. I provide image sources if the source is still available online, but there are far too many photos for me to ask each person for permission (and some are from users who are inactive or not possible to contact -- i.e., from sites like Worthpoint) - The whole point of the site is collecting as many photos as possible. I try to ask permission on social media or forums that I'm active on, especially if I'm using a lot of photos from one person. If you own one of the photos on this site and do not want it here, message me and I will remove it. This isn't meant to take credit from or upset anyone; It is just for fun and to help record the existence of these toys. If you are made uncomfortable by me using your photos, I will remove them for you.
