OTHER COMMENTS/INFO:

  • Bubbles was one of the first MLPs, being released in Year 2 (1982-1983), as part of the second Earth Pony set

  • She was the first pony to use the sitting pose/mold - Which is one of the rarer molds, with only two ponies (including Bubbles) from the US using it

  • She came with a green comb and green ribbon

  • I love the US back card story. I don't know why it's so funny to me

    • "Lemon Drop saw a strange, muddy pony galloping toward her from across the field. "My goodness, I think you need a bath!" she exclaimed as she poured her favorite bubble bath into the waterfall beside the stable. Soon bubbles were everywhere, twinkling in the sun and floating on the gentle breeze. "Perhaps I put in too much bubble bath," she thought. "Oh well, she really is very muddy." After much scrubbing a beautiful, yellow pony emerged from the bubbly water. "I'll call you Bubbles," said Lemon Drop. Bubbles just smiled. She had found a new friend."

  • Bubbles appeared briefly in the first MLP Special, and was a recurring character in the MLP comics, as well as featured in some of the MLP books

  • Bubble's original prototype design gave her blue fur with white hair, and had her in the standing pose. This first prototype is at Hasbro studios, and brought out sometimes for pony fairs and similar events. She is hand carved from wax and hand painted!

  • She has several Nirvana variants

  • The cute little white nose spot she has is used for Seashell as well, but otherwise nopony else as far as I know
