OTHER COMMENTS/INFO:

  • Truly was a So Soft Pony from Year 4 (1984-1985)

  • In the US she only ever had a So Soft release, but she had unflocked releases in Brazil, Argentina, the UK, and Scandinavia (and potentially South Africa?)

    • Only the UK & Scandinavian one (which were the same) used her original pose and design in its entirety minus flocking

    • This is the Scandinavian/UK variation of Truly

  • The UK (& presumably Scandinavia as well?) also sold the regular, flocked versions of the Year 4 So Soft Ponies - They just had unflocked versions as well

    • The unflocked versions were sold in a set called Pony Friends, which contained all the Year 4 So Soft Ponies just unflocked

    • The Pony Friends set is sometimes nicknamed the "Not So Soft" set (NSS)

    • According to this Tumblr post the Pony Friends line was also sold in South Africa, although I haven't seen this corroborated on any toy sites

    • Edit: Ghost of The Doll says she was sold in South Africa!

  • NSS Truly had the same blue ribbon and blue comb as her So Soft counterpart

  • Truly appeared in the G1 MLP TV Show

  • Truly was the first pony to use the rearing pose

For comparison, here's So Soft Truly deflocked:

This website is purely for educational/archival purposes. I do not own the rights to My Little Pony, and most photos on this site are not my own. I provide image sources if the source is still available online, but there are far too many photos for me to ask each person for permission - The whole point of the site is collecting as many photos as possible. If you own one of the photos on this site and do not want it here, message me and I will remove it. This isn't meant to take credit from or upset anyone; It is just for fun and to help record the existence of these toys. If you are made uncomfortable by me using your photos, I will remove them for you.
