Release Info

  • A re-colored re-release of the Celebration Castle play set, which was first released in 2003 with Baby Sunsparkle, and then again in 2004. The Rainbow Princess Castle play set was released in 2006

    • It is the same play set, just with a different color pallete, and several different/new accessories. The new accessories are themed around the 2006 "Crystal Princess" theme. Full list of accessories can be seen on MLW

    • The decals/stickers are also different from the Celebration Castle

    • Included Rarity instead of Sunsparkle

  • This is very similar to what happened with the first ever MLP castle play set, Dream Castle, wherein it had a re-release several years later with a different, more pastel color scheme - In both cases, the re-release seems to be harder to find than the original.

  • This set was only released in Europe; it never had a USA release

  • Has multiple mechanical features

    • Music plays when a pony's magnetic hoof touches the pink heart on the castle floor

    • There's a kitchen counter accessory that includes a stove top which opens up to reveal a sink when the pony steps on the magnetic button

    • There is a disk that can be attached to the top of the stairs which functions as a dance floor - the ponies stand on it using the magnet, and it can then be manually spun, making the pony "dance"

    • Has a little elevator seat that goes up and down inside one of the castle turrets, which the ponies can ride in

  • Requires batteries for the music feature to work - Needs 3 "AA" Batteries

  • The staircase, turrets, crown turret top, curtains, arches, and balconies are removable.

  • Comes with a giant hot air balloon, and a plastic moat + staircase that can be attached to the front of the castle. The door can rest on the stairs of the moat, creating a bridge

  • Harder to find photos of than Celebration Castle
