OTHER COMMENTS/INFO:
She is a Twinkle Eyed Pony released in Year Five (1986-1987) - Which means she's from the second Twinkle Eyed Pony set
She came with a yellow ribbon and a light pink comb
She is a highly sought after pony by collectors - Hense the big price tag
It's not actually clear why this is (other than her looking awesome) - It's said she's rare but it's confusing, because the other ponies from her set aren't nearly as sought after, and you'd expect them to be equally rare
Some say she had low sales, so there aren't a lot out there (What do they do with extra ponies?), but this isn't confirmed
Some credit an old rumor that they made less of her than the other ponies in her set, because she was presumed to be not marketable, because "little girls don't like green" - Collectors nowadays point out that she seems to be just as common as the other ponies in her set (just priced very high), although it's worth noting that toy companies have plenty of history of deciding certain colors aren't marketable to young girls, including Hasbro. Frankie Stein from Monster High was almost made not green because executives thought little girls didn't like green - The only reason they got her to be green is because when little girls in testing saw her prototype (who wasn't green), they said that she should be green. But who knows. There's plenty of other MLPs in G1 who have green in their pallete.
Animal related cutie marks are kind of rare, and she has a very unique appearance, so this may be part of her perceived rarity
She's a quote "have to have" pony - because of her popularity and high demand, she's hard to find for cheap, because collectors don't want to part with her, and if they do they expect a high price for it
She's sort of seen as a "Status symbol" among collectors
Mimic was featured in My Little Pony 'n Friends - In the episode she appears in, she is said to be a descendant of Ponyland's first unicorns
